WiseEye Trail cameras - Mini Cam 2 (MC2) vs. Data Cam 2 (DC2)
WiseEye Trail cameras - MC2 vs. DC2
WiseEye Trail cameras - One question we get quite often is what is the difference between the WiseEye MC2 (Mini Cam 2) and the WiseEye DC2 (Data Cam 2). So, while we were at the ATA Show in Indianapolis last week, we hooked up with Kyle at the WiseEye Booth and had him explain a little more about the differences between the two cameras.
Major Functional Differences
- Connectivity: Both cameras use MultiCarrier Connectivity to link to the strongest available network (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.). However, the DC2 is specifically designed for areas with near-zero signal where the MC2 might struggle.
- Power and Build: The DC2 is larger and uses a 12 AA battery tray (or optional Li-ion pack), while the MC2 is more compact and lightweight.
- Flash Options: The DC2 offers both "No Glow" and "Low Glow" models, whereas the MC2 typically comes in a standard configuration.
- Setup: The MC2 features "Real Time Communication," allowing you to change settings instantly via the app while the camera is in SETUP mode. The DC2 can be set up directly using its internal LCD screen.
