The Gunners Up Son of a Gun Bird Launcher responds to calls for a lighter, more compact version of the original Gunners Up launcher.

While the mechanics are the same high quality as the original launcher, the size is smaller, making transportation simpler. The SOG’s folded dimensions are 49 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and 2 inches thick, with a weight of just 15.5 pounds, making it easy to travel in most capacious cars. Because of its reduced size, the launch length for ducks, dokkens, and bumpers is somewhat less than the original launcher, ranging between 15 and 25 yards. What the SOG loses in range, it compensates for in durability, portability, and dependability.

The SOG Gunners Up Bird Launcher’s release mechanism is servo-driven, 209 priming shot, and has a unique safety catch that prevents the bird or dummy from being released prematurely. The Servo release mechanism works with both Dog-Tra and Tri-Tonics, making this and all other Gunners Up launchers very compatible. Furthermore, the SOG is built in the same manner as previous Gunners Up products, with corrosion-resistant gear for use in even the wettest situations.

Usage Instructions

Setup

Unfold the launcher to its full dimensions. Attach the bird or dummy to the vinyl web bird pouch. Connect the Servo release system to your Dog-Tra or Tri-Tronics electronics (sold separately). Ensure the safety latch is engaged before setting up for launch.

Maintenance

Regularly check and tighten all hardware, especially the stainless steel hinges and pulleys. Clean the vinyl web bird pouch after each use to prevent dirt build-up. Store the launcher in a dry place to avoid unnecessary exposure to moisture, even though it is designed to withstand wet conditions.
