Owen Dog Box DIY Kits – Build Your Own Dog Box Kit

The Owen’s aluminum dog boxes already offer a lot of convenience to dog parents, giving Owens Dog Box Kitthem the chance to make various choices with the wide range of products on ground. Although it looks slightly smaller than the first model, it can also hold two dogs at the same time.

The DIY kit you purchased would in both cases contain similar materials such as one front panel Finished Dog Box Kitassembly, two side air vents, six 47’ angle plates, a further two 25’ angle plates, a pack of bolts and a set of keys for opening and locking the dog’s compartment. The front panel assembly is an aluminum plate measuring 46’ in width and has a rigid double door panel for keeping your box square and making it secure. The air vents measure 7’ x 10’ like most conventional Owen aluminum boxes you would see on the market and ensures maximum air flow. Both the 47’ and 25’ angle plates are made from heavy duty aluminum diamond plate, providing strength and toughness to your build.

To then construct your pet’s box, you would need tools such as a drill having one-eight inches’ drill bits, a tape measure, a screw driver to drive in the screws, a circular saw to cut your wood and metal components into size and last but not least, tin snips. You would also need materials such as plywood sheets (2-4’ x 8’), flat boards (4-2’ x 2’ x 8’), a box of drywall screws, latex paint of whatever color you desire and a silicon caulk. Note that these tools and materials do not come with the DIY kit.

Armed with the DIY kit and these materials, constructing your dog carrier would surely be one exciting backyard activity for you.
