Train With Ease – Gunners Up Son of a Gun
When it comes to dog training, sometimes you have to seize opportunities when they appear. That means it’s not always feasible (or practical) to set up long range equipment for a quick training session. The Gunners Up Son of a Gun (SOG) launcher is the answer to requests for a lighter, more compact version of the original Gunners Up launcher.
While the mechanics are the same great quality as the original launcher, the size is smaller and portability is made easier. The folded specs of the SOG are 49 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and 2 inches thick, weighing only 15.5 lbs, meaning it can be easily transported in most spacious vehicles. Due to its smaller size, the launch length for ducks, dokkens, and bumpers is slightly shorter than with the original launcher, ranging 15 – 25 yards. However, what the SOG lacks in range it makes up for in durability, portability, and reliability.
The SOG release mechanism is Servo driven, 209 primer shot with a unique safety latch that inhibits premature release of the bird or dummy. The Servo release system is compatible with both Dog-Tra and Tri-Tonics, making this, and all Gunners Up launchers, widely compatible (electronics sold separately). Additionally, the workmanship of the SOG is the same as other Gunners Up models, with corrosion-proof hardware for utility in even the wettest conditions.
