If your large dog needs help getting into and out of your vehicle, it isn’t always convenient (or easy) to lift your pet or transport portable steps.  The Hitch Step, manufactured by Solvit, overcomes these difficulties.  

The Hitch Step is a convenient alternative to ramps and portable step stools.  This dual step design enhances your large dog’s ability to climb into or out of your truck.  A convenient feature is that the steps can then be folded to lie flush with your vehicle, out of the way.  This product can be installed onto any 2’’ vehicle hitch receiver and is also adjustable to match the height of any vehicle.

Each high-traction step measures 18’’ wide and 10’’ deep to provide your pet a stable and safe foundation for climbing into the vehicle.  The two steps are spaced 8’’ apart.  Even with the Hitch Step attached to your truck’s hitch receiver, the liftgate can still be opened when the steps are folded.  When necessary, the steps can be easily and conveniently removed for storage.  While only 20 lbs in weight, the Hitch Step is able to hold up to 200 lbs.
